OCT 2020 | It is now six months since we were all shocked by the news that a global pandemic called Covid-19 had broken out in China and was spreading rapidly across the globe. 21st May 2020 | It’s exciting times for Coolum Beach as Queensland Minister for State Development, Innovation & Tourism - Kate Jones, backs the proposed $1.1 Billion Kelly Slater Wave Pool. What makes it more encouraging is the potential partnership between a world surfing legend and two of our most successful home-grown construction / development companies, Consolidated Properties and Hutchinson Builders. Hutchinson Builders or “Hutchies” as they are known in the building industry, was established in 1912 and has been presided over by five generations of the Hutchinson family. They’ve been an industry leader in recruiting local employees and offering apprenticeships to aspiring tradies. They have long survived an industry which has certainly had its peaks and troughs over the years.

8th May 2020 | Effective from 1 May 2020, Queensland’s Chief Health Officer has relaxed the rules surrounding real estate inspections. Pursuant to ‘Non-Essential Business, Activity and Undertaking Closure Direction (No. 8),’ inspections can now be conducted via private appointment or by ‘open house’ inspection method provided that agencies comply with applicable maximum person limits and social distancing requirements.
